Workshop 1: 3D Printing, Scanning and Blender 3D Modeling Technique
Introduce the basic techniques of creating 3D models with 3D printing using a free and open source 3D creation software – Blender. Participants may have a chance to build their own figurines by using the Structure Sensor 3D scanner.
*No notebook will be provided by the Library. Participants have to use their own notebook with required software. Please download the software at Blender website - https://www.blender.org/download/

Workshop 2: Building a 3D model with SolidWorks and the NextEngine 3D laser scanner
Learn how to create a 3D model of an object through laser scanning with the NextEngine Scanner. The workshop covers basic laser scanning technologies, and how to use SolidWorks to make design changes to the scanned item. No prior experience with 3D technologies is required.
*No notebook and software will be provided by the Library. Participants have to use their own notebook with required software (i.e.: SolidWorks).
