About the Speaker:

Game & UX Designer
Dixon graduated from the Art Institute of California, majoring in arts and game design. He later joined the Game Wizards production team and Activision, taking part in the production of the "Spider Man 3" game.
After coming back to Hong Kong, he mainly focused on UX design, reowned for "gamification" to apply game design theories to daily applications. He has taken part in designing the workflow and front end of multiple healthcare modules, including the eHealth records (electronic patient records), the eClassroom system for primary school students initiated by the education bureau, and numerous smartphone apps and games.
Dixon has always been fascinated by videogames. He founded RETRO.HK and Hong Kong's first and only retrogaming expo in 2015. In the same event, he started "RETROCUP" a tournament focusing on classic videogame titles. He later formed a non-profit organization of the same name, educating public on the history, culture and preservation of videogames. He is now also the organizer of the Neo Geo World Tour esports tournament, and the organizer of Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC) Asia.
Prof. Peichi CHUNG from Department of Cultural and Religious Studies will be the facilitator of the seminar. She has been conducting research on ludology for 12 years.
