Sculpture Exhibition Program
This Sculpture Exhibition Program is a visual art collaboration event between the New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library and the Hong Kong Sculpture Society. The Ch’ien Mu Library has always supported art and culture with all their strength. Not only displaying artworks of different media, but its art space also lets students of the Fine Art Department to show their brainchild to the public.
The Hong Kong Sculpture Society is a NGO which aims to promote the local sculpture development. We are deeply honored to be invited by the Ch’ien Mu Library to start a series of sculpture exhibitions. In 1969, Mr. C. Y. Tang, a student of the United College, donated his father´s collection of 56 pieces of rare oracle bones to the College according to the instruction of his mother and the collection was placed in the United College Wu Chung Multimedia Library. In 2015, the Oracle Bones Collection was relocated to the Special Collection Department in the University Library so as to provide suitable storage for their preservation. The oracle bone calligraphies of this exhibition come from the inscriptions of the Oracle Bone Collection of the College.

The exhibition will showcase the valuable collections donated by the family of Master Wong Hon Fan, the chief campaigner for the revitalisation movement. “A Date with Zalaegerszeg” presenting Noelle’s artworks created in the artist-in-residence programme in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. Zalaegerszeg is a historical town where located in the western Hungary near the border of Austria and Slovenia.
Through this exhibition, Noelle presenting her key project “A Date with Him”─ and 2 side projects, “Electrocardiogram-like drawings” and “Cherries painting”. Using mixed mediums to share her life holistically during her stay in Zalaegerszeg.
