    With immediate effect, the New Asia College Library is now re-opened after the flooding. Users are free to access G/F and 1/F while 2/F is still closed due to urgent maintenance. Users are welcome to request item(s) on 2/F at the Help Desk on G/F. The Library has resumed to normal summer opening hours .

    As announced on 22 July 2015 and followed by a reminder on 4 December 2015 at our Library website and service counters, the Library’s print deposit account will terminate on 1 August 2016, to be replaced by the use of Multi-Function Photocopiers (MFP) or Express Printers with Octopus payment. If you still have remaining deposit in your print account, we urge you to make use of it before the service termination.

    Following the relocation of phonodiscs from United College Library (UCL) to Chung Chi College Library (CCL) earlier this year, the compact disc (CD) collection from UCL will be relocated to CCL starting 19 May 2016. In our planning to further expand the music collections in CCL, the music CDs from Music Department will also be transferred to CCL in the near future.

    Materials that are in transit will not be available for loan. Library users are advised to check the library’s catalogue for the location details of individual items. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    The United College Wu Chung Multimedia Library (UCL) is going through significant change as multimedia moves to video-streaming and the collection of DVDs on the ground floor becomes less and less relevant. The Library’s plan is to create boutique humanities-based libraries on the upper campus, and distribute the multimedia collection to the relevant subject libraries. UCL will be refurbished in the summer 2017 in order to accomplish this mission. For more details about the refurbishment project, please click here .

    The Japanese literature and language collection (Classs PL500-899) will be relocated from the Chung Chi College Elizabeth Luce Moore Library to the New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library starting 17 May 2016. Materials that are in transit to the New Asia College Library will be not available for loan. Library users are advised to check the library’s catalogue for the location details of individual titles. After the relocation exercise, the collection is much closer to the Department of Japanese Studies and also co-locates with other East Asian language and literature collections in the New Asia College Library.
