CUHK Golden Jubilee Celestial Civilian Scholarship

on Hong Kong Literature.

The first two scholarships were

awarded to Ms. Chiu Hiu Tung

(趙曉彤)

and Mr. Cui Wen Dong

(崔文

東)

from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. We are

grateful to our donor for supporting the scholarships.

The commemorative volume "From the

Treasure House: Jewels from the Library of The Chinese University

of Hong Kong" was published to celebrate the University’s 50th

anniversary, featuring 120 rare items from the Library’s collections

spanning over 3,500 years.

Library Publication.

The Library was grateful to the University for additional funding to digitise two

significant collections, the Pian Chinese Ethnomusicology

Collection, and a newly donated collection of traditional

Chinese medicine rare books. The projects will be

completed in June 2016. New open source digital

repository software has been selected to host these

and other digitised collections. The software has been

customised to support Chinese material.
