Getting New Research Information Automatically
This workshop will demonstrate how to use Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus and ScienceDirect to set up:
- search alerts so that the most updated search results will be sent to you automatically by email
- citation alerts of journal articles and authors (where appropriate)

Program 2: Doing Data Analysis for your Research
Using ATLAS.ti for Qualitative Data Analysis
This hands-on workshop will introduce how to use ATLAS.ti to conduct qualitative data analysis. Participants will learn and use ATLAS.ti to conduct:
- Data description such as creating codes, coding, using memo, and writing comments on your data
- Data analysis and interpretation such as using the functions of hyperlink, network view, query tool, and co-occurrence to explore patterns and develop themes

Program 3: Enhancing Your Research Impact
Make Yourself Distinguishable and Discoverable on the Web – Significance of Author IDs
An author ID is to distinguish yourself accurately in the research community from others with similar names so that your scholarly publications can be easily recognized.
This workshop will demonstrate:
- How to set up author ID and researcher profiles in different systems: ORCID, ResearcherID, AIMS, and Google Scholar, so as to enhance your discoverability on the Web
- How to record your research activities such as your latest publication and presentations in these systems
- How to interlink your profile amongst these systems
