The protocols.io platform is an open access platform for recording and sharing detailed up-to-date research methods and protocols. It allows researchers to collaboratively create step-by-step, interactive and dynamic protocols that can be run on mobile or web, and share the protocols with colleagues, collaborators, the research community or make them public, with ease and efficiency. Publicly published protocols can be assigned DOIs and made easily discoverable and citable.

This protocol sharing platform is useful for researchers in any discipline that uses a step-by-step methodology, such as biomedicine, chemistry, life science, engineering, and data science.
