Discussion Skills - Speaking with Confidence
Co-organized with The Independent Learning Centre (ILC), the Library was pleased to offer this discussion skills workshop to research postgraduate students. The workshop was held at the Idea Exchange of the University Library.
The participants were introduced to the key skills to begin and maintain conversations in various professional settings. They learned strategies for how to discuss various topics, agree and disagree politely, and maintain conversations by incorporating appropriate questions and statements. They also had the opportunity to practise in small group conversations.
