    Over the years, the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library has acquired very finely reproduced artworks made by specialists including the Nigensha Publishing Co. Ltd. in Japan and kept in the New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library. The Collection consists of calligraphy and paintings reproduced from the Tang to the Qing Dynasty. The originals of these artworks are housed in different museums such as National Palace Museum, Taipei, Shanghai Museum, and British Museum. The artwork reproduction requires a high standard of professional and specialized skills.

    As part of the Accessibility Improvement Works project, Chung Chi College Library and G/F Reading Room will be closed from 16 May to 26 August 2022 during the commencement of noisy work for the Lift upgrading.

    During the closure, Library is offering a book retrieval service for users. The requested item(s) will be sent to the University Library for collection upon receiving the Online Book Retrieval Service Form .

    Short-term loans like Instructional Material Collections (latest 2 years) and Course Reserve will be temporarily relocated to Course Reserves/Holds Room on G/F University Library .

The newly renovated area serves as a hub, providing more spaces to showcases literary works of contemporary authors as well as exhibits covering the history and development of Hong Kong literature.     CUHK Library has joined the global platform Google Arts & Culture to share our valuable collections with the public. Through the online exhibition “Calligraphy, Paintings and Rubbings from the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library”, readers can explore the artworks from notable figures from the Qing dynasty to modern times. These figures include Zhang Daqian, Chao Shao-an, Ding Yanyong, Huang Yongyu, Li King-hong, Deng Fen, Huang Zhou, Gao Xingjian, Jao Tsung-I, Yu Youren and Tai Jingnong.     CUHK Golden Jubilee Celestial Civilian Scholarship on Hong Kong Literature 2021/22

    CUHK Golden Jubilee Celestial Civilian Scholarship on Hong Kong Literature 2021/22 is now inviting applications from full-time CUHK students taking undergraduate or research postgraduate programmes. There will be two scholarships of HK$10,000 each. Applicants must submit a research paper / thesis / dissertation, written in either English or Chinese, on Hong Kong literature and related fields, and submit a statement of 500-800 words, written in either English or Chinese, on how they made use of the Hong Kong Literature Collection for their research paper / thesis / dissertation.
