    Statement:

    Over the years, the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library has acquired very finely reproduced artworks made by specialists including the Nigensha Publishing Co. Ltd. in Japan and kept in the New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library. The Collection consists of calligraphy and paintings reproduced from the Tang to the Qing Dynasty. The originals of these artworks are housed in different museums such as National Palace Museum, Taipei, Shanghai Museum, and British Museum. The artwork reproduction requires a high standard of professional and specialized skills.

    We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Hong Kong Literature Database (HKLD). The search function of the database not only provides basic search, but also includes faceted search and search within results, for more refined searching results. With the grounding work of our Library on collecting pseudonyms of authors, the new HKLD offers searching of works under different pseudonyms of an author. Furthermore, users can share search results through email. Other features include browsing of journals and newspapers, Hong Kong Literature Archive, Hong Kong literature related activities, and more.

    With effective from July 5, 2021 (Monday) the Universities Service Centre For China Studies Collection (USC) will have the same opening hours as the University Library. Please visit our Library’s homepage ( https://www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/ ) for detailed opening hours.

    From the same date access to the USC Collection on the 8th and 9th floor of the Library will be through the University Library main entrance, not via the Tin Ka Ping building.     The Research Poster Exhibition 2021 for CUHK postgraduates will be held from 18 May to 30 June to showcase participants’ research work in the form of posters. It is co-organized by the CUHK Library, the Graduate School and the Independent Learning Centre. It aims at facilitating postgraduate students to present their own research to the broader university community, and providing participants opportunities to enhance their poster presentation skills.

    Besides displaying their posters, participants will present their research via Zoom to a panel of judges to compete for three Best Poster Presentation prizes .

    CUHK staff and students are all welcome to visit the Exhibition, and attend the Oral Presentations and Award Ceremony on 18 May 2021 (Tuesday) .
