    Statement:

    Over the years, the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library has acquired very finely reproduced artworks made by specialists including the Nigensha Publishing Co. Ltd. in Japan and kept in the New Asia College Ch’ien Mu Library. The Collection consists of calligraphy and paintings reproduced from the Tang to the Qing Dynasty. The originals of these artworks are housed in different museums such as National Palace Museum, Taipei, Shanghai Museum, and British Museum. The artwork reproduction requires a high standard of professional and specialized skills.

    As part of the Accessibility Improvement Works project, Chung Chi College Library and G/F Reading Room will be closed from 16 May to 26 August 2022 during the commencement of noisy work for the Lift upgrading.

    During the closure, Library is offering a book retrieval service for users. The requested item(s) will be sent to the University Library for collection upon receiving the Online Book Retrieval Service Form .

    Short-term loans like Instructional Material Collections (latest 2 years) and Course Reserve will be temporarily relocated to Course Reserves/Holds Room on G/F University Library .

    此次展覽呈現了20位南來文人在香港的行跡、文化教育活動及著述,以彰顯他們在香港傳揚中國傳統文化的功績。而本場講座將從另一個常被忽視的角度進行探討,聚焦這群文人中的入道弟子在香港的道教行跡及相關活動,包括他們自身的道教信仰、著作、交遊、與道教宮觀的往來等,以期勾勒出他們所形成的信道文人網絡,闡述他們在傳承道教文化中擔當的重要角色,及其對香港道教發展的影響與貢獻。

    講者簡介:
    美國芝加哥大學神學院哲學博士。現任香港中文大學文化及宗教研究系教授、道教文化研究中心主任及中國文化研究所執行副所長。主要研究領域包括:六朝道教史、天師道正一法文經、宋代道教黄籙齋儀、清代《道藏輯要》、廣東道教史、廣東廟宇碑刻、及香港正一及全真道教科儀。專著有《了解道教》(2017)、《廣東地方道教研究:道觀、道士及科儀》(2007),編著有《道藏輯要・提要》(2021)、《道貫嶺南:廣州三元宮志》(2019)、《修心煉性:〈呂祖疏解無上玄功靈妙真經〉白話註譯》(2017)等。已發表道教學術研究論文數十多篇,刊載於多份國際著名中國研究期刊。

    講者簡介:
    香港中文大學哲學博士。現為香港中文大學中國語言及文學系講師,研究興趣包括古典詩詞、婦女文學及語文教學等,曾發表〈呂碧城香港詞研究〉、〈同光體和閩派的奠基:論陳衍《近代詩鈔》的詩學建構〉、〈從賢臣到遺民──鄭孝胥「海藏樓雜詩」論析〉等學術論文。

    CUHK Library has joined the global platform Google Arts & Culture to share our valuable collections with the public. Through the online exhibition “Calligraphy, Paintings and Rubbings from the Chinese University of Hong Kong Library”, readers can explore the artworks from notable figures from the Qing dynasty to modern times. These figures include Zhang Daqian, Chao Shao-an, Ding Yanyong, Huang Yongyu, Li King-hong, Deng Fen, Huang Zhou, Gao Xingjian, Jao Tsung-I, Yu Youren and Tai Jingnong.     CUHK Golden Jubilee Celestial Civilian Scholarship on Hong Kong Literature 2021/22 is now inviting applications from full-time CUHK students taking undergraduate or research postgraduate programmes. There will be two scholarships of HK$10,000 each. Applicants must submit a research paper / thesis / dissertation, written in either English or Chinese, on Hong Kong literature and related fields, and submit a statement of 500-800 words, written in either English or Chinese, on how they made use of the Hong Kong Literature Collection for their research paper / thesis / dissertation.
