I am responsible for management of Research and Learning Support and User Services Departments as well as the various branch libraries. In my role I also co-ordinate the Faculty Liaison team for the Library and deputize for the University Librarian as required.

Hi, I am the Medical Librarian and the Faculty Liaison Librarian (Medicine). Apart from the management of the Medical Library, I work closely with the Faculty to develop library collections and provide user education and research support to meet their teaching, learning and research needs. I am responsible for the management, development and delivery of the library services on the upper-campus. Apart from overseeing the New Asia College Library and United College Library, I am also the Faculty Liaison Librarian of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Department of Cultural and Religious Studies, Department of Fine Arts, Department of Philosophy and Department of Translation. I teach information literacy classes for both the colleges and faculty.

My role is to manage the Chung Chi College Library and the Architecture Library, and jointly manage the Learning Commons at the Wu Ho Man Yuen (WMY) Building with the Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC). I am also the Faculty Liaison Librarian of the Faculty of Education, School of Architecture and Department of Music.

I am responsible for providing leadership and management for the Special Collections, University Archives and Digital Initiatives teams. I work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure that our services and activities support the teaching and research needs.

I lead and manage the work of the Digital Initiatives in support of a broad range of digital and data-intensive scholarly activities. The digital scholarship is a cross-disciplinary area where participants from various backgrounds, including information professional, programmers and researchers, engage in collaborative scholarly inquiries. Areas of focus for Digital Scholarship Services include digitalization, data visualization, text and network analysis, geographic information systems (GIS), and infrastructure support. My team and I provide technical support, outreach, and instruction to students, faculty, and staff in wide-ranging efforts that use digital technologies to advance scholarship through not only traditional publication workflows, but also via participation in digital repository.

Hello! I’m Kitty who serves as Digital Scholarship Librarian. I am here to coordinate the Library’s Digital Scholarship Service, provide consultations on digital humanities techniques and tools, and to manage the Digital Scholarship Lab on the G/F of University Library.

I am responsible for implementing the digital library strategies to maximise the effective use of existing and emerging digital technologies in support for the scholarly and academic activities that are involved in Research Support and Digital Initiatives. I am responsible for providing leadership to the Technical Services and Library IT & Systems teams, including overall direction for acquisitions, cataloging, collection development and preservation, gift & exchange, the integrated library system and library’s technologies, to support the teaching, learning and research activities in the University.

As the Open Science Librarian at CUHK, I am leading the Library’s exciting new initiative to champion open science principles and practices. My role involves developing these principles within the university community while promoting open access initiatives and research transparency. I am also actively building partnerships with key stakeholders, including the Chinese University of Hong Kong Press, to support open access publishing pilots and platform experiments. In addition to these efforts, I also lead the Library’s involvement in citizen science projects, empowering community members to contribute to research and innovation. My goal is to foster a thriving open science culture at CUHK, contributing to the advancement of open science in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

I am responsible for scholarly communication services, supporting dissemination of research outputs, research metrics, copyright, open access, author identity management, and the Institutional Research Information System (IRIS) implementation.

Hi, I am Vivian! As Head of Acquisitions, I oversee the Acquisitions Department in all its operations for the procurement of all tangible library resources including print books, periodicals and audio-visual materials to support the teaching, learning and research endeavours of the University.
