The year 2007 marked the 10th anniversary of the death of renowned scholar Professor So Man-jock. The exhibition titled “The Brush Dances and the Ink Sings: the Calligraphy of Professor So Man-jock” was co-organized by the United College, Art Museum and CUHK Library. Professor So received a fine education as befits a member of a cultivated household. Since early childhood he was taught not only the classics but also calligraphy; his style being characterised by a classical elegance that harked back to two earlier generations of his family.
