Wi-Fi Printing Service is available to all CUHK students, staff and alumni. It enables you to print conveniently from your own device to multi-function photocopiers (MFP) located at different libraries within the CUHK Library. All you need to do is configuring / installing the appropriate printer drivers below, via the campus network, you can simply send print jobs, from your own device to the designated Wi-Fi enabled MFPs. The print job will be activated once you have keyed in your password and presented your Octopus card.

How to Print?

  1. The service is accessible only to CUHK campus Wi-Fi network (SSID: CUHK1x, CUguest, eduroam)
  2. Download and install the printer driver. Each printer driver/configuration can print to one designated MFP only. Refer to the guide for installation
  3. Wi-Fi printing only supports Octopus charging method
  4. Wi-Fi printing does not support Linux and any OS not listed below

Windows based devices
This service is available to devices with 32-bit / 64-bit versions of Windows 10 or Windows 11. Please follow the steps below:

Mac OS devices

The Library is currently replacing its multi-function photocopiers (MFPs). The instruction for Wi-Fi printing from Mac OS devices to Fujifilm MFPs is coming soon. Please refer to Wi-Fi Printing – Ricoh for the list of Ricoh MFPs that support Wi-Fi printing from Mac OS devices during the transition period.

 

a. Download Printer Driver & Find Hostname / IP Address

b. Instruction

Once you have installed the required printer driver and configured your devices, you will be able to send print jobs to the designated MFPs. The print job will be released once you have input your password and presented the Octopus card for payment. The print job will be available within 3 hours after sending the print job. Charging for Printouts

The charges for printout are the same as printing from MFPs.
